Paolo Bashir Ansaloni, born in Bologna,
Italy, has always been fond of science and music. At 21 he
follows the aspiration to an inner search that led him to
a first trip to India to study Indian music and practicing
yoga.
He travels later to other Eastern countries including Philippines,
where for a period he practices with a shaman healer.
In the seventies he undertakes ethno musicological studies
and simultaneously starts in Bologna a violin making workshop.
In that period his interest in astrology begins, but as a
personal study, with readings only addressed to friends and
acquaintances.
In the late eighties, disappointed by poor economic feedback
of artistic craftsmanship, he changes completely his professional
direction working as a broker and starting his own real estate
agency.
At the beginning of the nineties the meeting with a Tibetan
Lama, Lama Zopa Rimpoche, completely changes the address of
his life. In ‘94 he is one of the promoters and responsible
for organising the visit of His Holiness The Dalai Lama in
Bologna. That same year he moves to Nepal where he remains
four years practicing with the master and working for the
foundation (Foundation for Preservation of Mahayana Tradition).
In '98 from the Nepal he travels to India and reaches Pune…
in a moment he find himself Sanyasin!
It’s in Osho’s world that his quality in astrology
is recognized. This starts a period of practice and reading
sessions. In the same period, thanks to the direct observation
of the sky, Bashir realized that the traditional western astrology,
ignoring, or rather, obscuring the precession of the equinoxes,
has remained to the same representation of the sky as it was
19 centuries ago, the Ptolemy’s time.
In India, on the other hand, Vedic astrology follows, yes,
the real reference to the constellations in the sky, but uses
a very special and extremely pragmatic method of interpretation,
moreover it ignores the outer planets.
In 2001, in Pune, Bashir participates in a intensive sat-sang
held by Dolano, after this period of silence and inactivity
in the astrological field.
Later, deepening the Cyril Fagan’s studies, elaborates
an astrological model of representation of the sky which,
while keeping the traditional western method of interpretation,
respects the correct calculations and includes the outer planets,
including Chiron, defining this new model as Neo Sidereal
Astrology.
Years of practice and verification have confirmed the relevance
and validity.
After a period of eleven years lived in East returns to Italy
to share with anyone who is interested.
